There, users can read about and share new infor-mation and advice for their specifi c industry needs. “We know people come to PACK EXPO for so-lutions and for new information in the packaging and processing space, but they also have very spe-cifi c industry needs,” states Ferrante. “We’ve taken a different approach with our show and created physical vertical lounges on the show fl oor and also online communities where people can connect year round. We started those last year and we’ve really been continuing them and build-ing on them over the course of the year. Each of our vertical markets that we’ve been focusing on at PACK EXPO has an online community where people can continue to connect before, during and after the show,” she continues. The latest addition to the PACK EXPO Connected Communities will be an online extension of PACK EXPO’s new Beverage Cooler Lounge , sponsored by the International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT), which makes its debut in the Grand Con-course at PACK EXPO International 2012. The AP is designed to address the need by providing a solution that can be added onto existing case packing equipment as a field retrofit or as an available low cost option on new equipment.

The key to the field adaptability is that the AP features its own controller with an easy to use interface that makes installation, setup and operation a snap. This avoids heavy modifications of the machine’s existing controls, speeding up installation. The easy to use interface simplifies SKU setup, and a simple handshake to the existing machine controller simplifies operation.

Schneider
www.schneiderequip.com; Booth S-1228

EXHIBITS AT OPTIMA’S EXCUBE

One ‘real’ exhibit and a multitude of virtual experiences within the ExCube will be presented by Optima at PACK EXPO International 2012.
