ECAM+, from NorthWrite, facilitates the examination of energy information from buildings or building simulations, reducing the time spent analyzing trend and utility meter data. It also provides automated analyses while still allowing users all the flexibility they need to look at the data the way they want. The soft warefs general intent is to maximize the userfs ability to benefit from whatever data is available. Hence, the original capabilities focused on facilitating ad-hoc analyses, not fully automated analyses, but enthusiasm for the tool is leading to more automation. Uses of ECAM+ Users worldwide are finding that ECAM+ makes energy analyses easier and more powerful. General charting, benchmarking, charting for performance diagnostics, measurement and verification (M&V), and performance tracking are all easy with ECAM+. It is also very easy to benchmark a building against other buildings, or against itself over time. Multiple chart types with automated filtering makes data exploration and analysis faster and more useful with this tool. The Measurement and Verification (M&V) capability even includes an estimate of the uncertainty in the savings estimates. Existing building commissioning analyses are facilitated with the automated building re-tuning charts.
