LB Water acquires Virginia supply house Selinsgrove, Pa.-based LB Water has expanded into Virginia with the acquisition of Chester, Va.-based Brewco Pipe and Supply. The company will be known as LB Water Richmond and is LB Water’s eighth location overall. “LB Water is pleased that the entire Brewco team will become a part of our employee-owned company,” LB Water CEO Fred Steimling said. “Both companies have cultures founded on hard work, teamwork and the goal of exceeding customer expectations.” Brewco President Chris “Buzz” Brewer added: “We are very excited to be joining forces with LB Water. Northeastern Supply hosts customers at NASCAR race For the 20th consecutive year, Golden Ring, Md.-based Northeastern Supply hosted customers at the Dover International Speedway in Dover, Del. Northeastern Supply entertained more than 400 of its customers May 31 at the racetrack. Customers were treated to a barbeque and the opportunity to interact with Regan Smith, driver of the No. 7 Northeastern Supply Chevy. Earlier in the day, some VIP customers got to spend some time on pit row. Among those VIPs was Earl Boardman, the winner of Northeastern Supply’s Ultimate NASCAR Experience. Boardman, of McCarthy Heating & Air, became an honored race team crew member for the weekend. “In today’s economy and in this competitive industry you have to do things that set you apart from the others,” Northeastern President and CEO Steve Cook said. Gustave A. Larson announces PEAQ winners Pewaukee, Wis.-based distributor Gustave A. Larson announced its 2012 Partners in Excellence and Quality award winners at a June dinner. The company honored Advanced Distributor Products, DuPont Fluoroproducts, Armacell, Heatcraft Refrigeration Products and Nu-Calgon. The winners were selected by evaluating data collected throughout 2012. The data considered many partner measurements, including product quality, profi tability, marketing, sales support, electronic commerce capabilities, on-time deliveries, basic credit terms, policies and procedures. Gustave Larson hosted another awards dinner to honor the top supplier salespeople in each of the company’s five regions. Criteria used to evaluate sales personnel included quality of sales calls, product knowledge, communication skills and accountability. Nu-Calgon’s Jeff Peterson was honored in the Great Lakes region; DuPont’s Ron Rizzo was the winner for the East Central region; Mitsubishi Electric’s Jennifer Corey was the winner for the Mountain region; RAC Sales’ Keith Rinderknecht was the winner in the North Central region; and Roy Heimbrock of Endres Associates was honored in the Great Plains region. “Our PEAQ program helps us to identify ways we can work more closely with our supplier partners for the mutual benefit of our companies,” said Herb Daugherty, Larson’s directory of inventory management and administrator of the PEAQ program. “The program continues to strengthen our partnerships with our suppliers and helps us to provide better service to our customers.”
