Mainstream Maintenance and Reliability Conference - Brisbane, Australia, May 2013 AFE's Certified Plant Maintenance Management (CPMM) program takes place down under. Former AFE Regional Vice President, Skill TV host and maintenance evangelist Joel Leonard recently taught AFE's first Certified Plant Maintenance Management (CPMM) program in Australia. Leonard (pictured on the left with two attendees) took part in the Mainstream Maintenance and Reliability Conference in Brisbane last May. The conference focused on the strategic areas of maintenance and reliability; people and culture; overall reliability of maintenance systems; and the continuous improvement and the alignment of maintenance and business. Over 330 professionals from 120 organizations immersed themselves in three days of networking, learning and sharing with other facilities maintenance experts. Korean Institute of Plant Engineering and Construction (KIPEC) Renews 23 CPE's In November, AFE renewed 23 Plant Engineering certifications for its partner, the Korean Institute of Plant Engineering and Construction, in Seoul, South Korea. The initiative was launched in 2005 to support AFE's certification programs in South Korea in cooperation with its partner, KIPEC. Professor Jae Heon Lee is the recent president of KIPEC. He received his B.A. (1971), M.S. and Ph.D. (1980) in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University, and has mentored over 140 M.S graduates and well over 27 Ph.D. graduates. In addition, he established the Department of Plant Engineering at the Hanyang Graduate School of Engineering in 2001.
