Rheem unveils Professional water heater line This past winter, Rheem unveiled its new line of Professional water heaters. Designed for our plumbing pros, this full line of water heaters includes exclusive features, product tiers, professional-grade quality and contractor-focused benefits. Rheem employed its 360°+1 design philosophy when creating its Professional water heaters. The company’s team of engineers evaluated every detail of the existing residential water heater line and then went about designing new products that offer homeowners better performance, while giving contractors hands-on features that improve service calls and installations. One of the most noticeable new features included on all products in this line is an enhanced-flow brass drain valve, which cuts the amount of time it takes to drain a water heater in half. Plus, all electric models come with at least one stainless-steel element for added performance and longevity. Additionally, products in this line come with new, more intuitive model numbers. Rheem Professional water heaters are organized into three distinct tiers, designed to make selling and upselling even easier: • Professional Prestige™: With Energy Factors up to 0.94 for gas-fired tankless units, 0.82 for gas-fired tank models and 2.45 for electric units, Prestige models are the most energy-efficient water heaters in Rheem’s portfolio. Units in the Prestige series offer up to a 12-year warranty on tank and parts. Professional Classic Plus™: These units offer exceptional performance and high Efs — up to 0.70 for gas models and 0.95 for electric units. All models in the Classic Plus family come with an eight-year warranty for tank and parts. Professional Classic™: These water heaters have all the essentials that contractors expect from Rheem. Efs reach up to 0.67 for gas models and 0. 93 for electric units. This series comes with a six-year warranty for the tank and parts. To support the launch of the Professional Series, Rheem also introduced an entirely new suite of training and marketing programs for partners to help them transition to the lineup. Rheem also debuted a new page on MyRheem.com, its portal for contractors and wholesalers, to provide more information about these products. MyRheem.com/Pro includes details on the three product tiers as well as an online model number cross-reference tool, which helps contractors and wholesalers transition to the Professional line’s new model numbers. Rheem will continue to advance the rollout of this exciting line throughout 2014. To learn more, visit www.MyRheem.com/Pro.
