The specially designed LED array of the EV6000 UV lamp casts a 9-inch (23 cm) round spot at a 15-inch (38 cm) distance from the testing surface, which is double the beam width of other aerospace-rated lamps. With the use of higher frequencies and a shorter range, this technique detects isolated pitting and wall loss with up to 10 times better resolution than Long Range UT systems.
