OBITUARIES John Peffley Jr., 74, formerly with Raub Supply Co. and Hajoca, died Jan. 16. During his 35 years at Raub Supply, he served as an outside salesman, sales manager at the Allentown and Lancaster, PA, branches, manager of the Jessup, MD, fa- cility, and merchandising manager for the plumbing and HVAC divisions. When Raub was sold to the Noland Co. in 1996, he joined Hajoca, where he stayed until retirement. David McDuffie, 95, former president of the Northameri- can Heating, Refrigeration & Airconditioning Wholesalers Association (predecessor to HARDI), died Jan. 27. NY Suppliers Help Oil Heat Cares Project > Brothers Plumbing & Heating Supply, Elmsford, NY, recently partnered with the Westchester/ Putnam Chapter of the National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers to complete an Oil Heat Cares project in Mt. Vernon, NY. Chapter members Lance Marino, Steve Salierno, Bob Daros, Brian Schwartz, Bob O’Rourke and Tom Sabia, with the help of students from the Saunders Trade and Tech School, completed the project over a 2-day period. An old steam boiler, gas water heater and oil tank were removed and replaced with a new Weil- McLain steam boiler, aqua booster storage tank and oil tank. Omni Hosts First Meeting Of Luxury Products Group > The Luxury Products Group by Omni Corporate Services Ltd. held its inaugural meeting Jan. 28-30 at The Doral Golf Resort & Spa, Miami. Omni’s membership includes more than 200 wholesalers representing 500-plus locations, of which 80% operate showrooms focusing on high-end luxury products.
