<b>Cognex Signs 400th Channel Partner</b> NATICK, MA—Cognex announced that it has achieved an important milestone in the development of its system integrator and distributor partner program. The Electrical Equipment Co. (Richmond, VA) has become the company’s 400th channel partner. The Electrical Equipment Co. Provides electrical supplies and automation equipment throughout the southeastern United States. Cognex channel partners are an international network of equipment and automation providers trained to sell, install and support Cognex machine vision products. All students will have the opportunity to discuss their specific application requirements with the instructors. <b>STEMMER IMAGING FINISHES POSITIVE BUSINESS YEAR PUCHHEIM, GERMANY</b>—Stemmer Imaging has finished the 2009-2010 financial year with overall sales of 35.7 million Euros. This meets the target set for the financial year. The 2009-2010 financial year has seen difficult conditions due to the international economic crisis, so the company is pleased it was able to come through this period without any consequences for personnel, such as reduced working hours or redundancies. By keeping the full workforce of more than 130 employees, the company says it is well set for the emerging recovery in international markets. Stemmer Imaging works with subsidiaries in Germany, the United Kingdom, France and Switzerland. The German headquarters was able to exceed its target with sales of 21.3 million Euros, and thus its percentage growth was better than the German market average. Helge Vogt has been named the new key account manager for Edmund Optics Germany and Anthony Artigliere has taken a leadership role as the new manager of inside sales, North American sales. They each bring more than 20 years of experience in the optics field. “We are very fortunate to have these two highly experienced and skilled members of the optics industry join our team,” says Allan Kreutzer, vice president of global sales. “EO looks forward to increased service and leadership resulting from the proven strengths and management expertise of both Helge and Anthony.” In his capacity as key account manager for Germany, Vogt will also service Austria and Switzerland, providing sales and customer support to all German-speaking customers. Vogt brings more than 20 years of experience in worldwide sales to the position, as well as a graduate engineering degree from the University of Applied Science, RheinMain Wiesbaden. Artigliere has been named manager of inside sales, North America. Artigliere says he plans to integrate solutions engineers into the sales team. He also will work closely with the field sales team to target and penetrate new industrial and commercial markets and applications. Artigliere comes to EO with more than 20 years of marketing and sales management experience and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from Albright College.
