According to the National Center for Assisted Living, there are 30,200 assisted living communities with 1 million licensed beds in the U.S. today. Typical services provided at these communities include 24-hour supervision and assistance; exercise, health, and wellness programs; housekeeping and maintenance; meals and dining services; medication management or assistance; personal care services; and transportation.
