PEOPLENEWS • Matco-Norca and SVF Flow Controls announce the promotion of SCOTT BARDREAU to vice president of sales for both companies. The recent merger of Matco-Norca and SVF Flow Controls expands Matco-Norca’s line of industrial product offerings and provides applications into new industries. All Matco-Norca and SVF Flow Controls regional managers will report to Bardreau, a 10-year Matco- Norca veteran who is based in Houston. • American Pipe & Supply announced the hiring of JEFF DUNCAN as director of operations. Duncan has more than 20 years of experience in managing transportation and warehouse distribution operations with Staples, Thermo Fisher Scientific and most recently Catalent Pharmaceuticals. • Jones Stephens announced JASON KOKASKA joined the company as area sales manager for the Illinois territory. Kokaska will focus on single- and multifamily contractors across all product categories, including plumbing, contractor specialties and MRO products. • Moen has added CHERI PHYFER to the executive team of the Global Plumbing Group, a division of Fortune Brands Homes & Security, as president, Moen U.S. Businesses, effective immediately. Phyfer brings more than 20 years of general management and sales and marketing leadership experience to Moen. • Speakman Co. announced the additions of JASON CADESTIN and JIANBO PEI to its engineering teams; and GEORGE SOBVRA, MATTHEW GAVIA and CHRIS BARNARD to its newly formed sales teams. Cadestin is Speakman’s new electro/ mechanical engineer, while Pei is an engineering intern. Sobyra is Speakman’s new regional sales manager in Illinois where he will manage specification and hospitality reps in the new Northern region, while Gavia is the company’s new safety sales manager for the West division and will manage West Coast safety sales and its network of sales reps, along with key industrial and safety distributors and end users. Barnard is Speakman’s South regional sales manager where he will be responsible for the new Southern region, its 11 agencies and increasing the spec channel by working with sales reps, distributors, contractors, engineers and end users. • Uponor North America named PAUL JOSSART senior manager, operations for the company’s Hutchinson, Minnesota expansion. A 20-year resident of Hutchinson, Jossart will be responsible for operations at the Hutchinson facility. • dahl Brothers Canada appointed STEPHANIE STEINER as retail sales director and also welcomed ROY SPEAR as regional sales director-wholesale Canada. • BRUCE MARSHALL, formerly the lead trainer at manufacturers rep firm Emerson Swan, was presented the Dan Holohan Lifetime Contribution to Comfort Award at Taco Comfort Solutions’ press conference at the recent AHR Expo in Chicago. Marshall is the third recipient of the award and is recognized for his commitment to education and passion for training. He joined Emerson Swan in 2005 and trained tens of thousands of contractors, wholesalers and sales reps. Marshall was the president of the Boston chapter of NAOHSM from 1988 to 1996. • Sloan Executive Chairman CHARLES ALLEN was inducted into the Chicago Area Plumbing Industry Hall of Fame by the Plumbing Contractors Association. He joins the company’s founder, WILLIAM ELVIS SLOAN, on the distinguished list. Allen started his career at Sloan in 1972 and still contributes to help define the company’s strategic direction. • DOUGLAS DODDS was appointed president and CEO of IBC Technologies USA. IBC is a provider of high-efficiency boilers and indirect-fired water heaters in North America. Dodds joined IBC in 2015 as the company’s managing director of sales and marketing and has helped usher in a period of unprecedented growth, the company pointed out. • T&S Brass and Bronze Works expanded its customer-service hours and capabilities with the addition of new California-based representative MATT SOPKO. Sopko is located at T&S’ California distribution and customer-service center. With the new position, T&S has extended its phone, email and online chat customer-service availability to cover 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Eastern. • DiversiTech Corp. announced its board of directors has appointed ANDY BERGDOLL as chief executive officer, effective March 1. Also, WAYNE HEWETT was named non-executive chairman of DiversiTech’s board of directors. • The Fortune Brands Global Plumbing Group, a division of Fortune Brands Home & Security, announced the promotion of DAVE BARRY to its executive leadership team.
