Wal-Rich Celebrates 60th Anniversary Founded in 1950 by partners Arthur Wallach, Sidney Waller and Murray Rich, Wal-Rich Corp. celebrates its 60th year as a manufacturer and master distributor to the plumbing, heating and industrial wholesaler. The company said it would release its 60th anniversary catalog in December. “We’ve come a long way since that fi rst catalog,” said Jerry Rich, president of Wal-Rich. “It’s amazing that despite the changes in the industry, we still offer almost all of the items from that fi rst edition.” With its new catalog — also available online at www.wal-rich.com — Wal-Rich expands its underground gas products selection and now offers cathodic protection products. Mueller Hits The Road For StreamTECH Mueller Industries is using a 15-foot trailer equipped with a hydrostatic burst tank to demonstrate StreamTECH, its flameless copper joining technology. The StreamTECH adhesive joining system uses an engineered seal as the primary seal and a structural adhesive as the mechanical bond. The trailer is visiting contractors, engineers, distributors, jobsites and tradeshow events throughout Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Texas. NCWA Tours Trumbull About 50 members of the North Central Wholesalers Association from Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and West Virginia toured the facilities of Trumbull Industries in November.The tour began at Trumbull’s 6,500-sq.-ft. showroom in Youngstown, OH, and then continued at its 400,000-sq.- ft. Master distribution center and adjacent corporate headquarters in Warren, OH. The tour groups visited nine stations where employees gave an overview of key segments of the operation. Afterwards, the group assembled in the training room for a presentation on the company’s history since it was launched by Sam Miller in 1922.
