Kenny Pipe & Supply Hosts Grand Re-Opening Following a fl ood that filled its Nashville, TN, facility with five feet of water in May, destroying furnishings, computers and much of its inventory, Kenny Pipe & Supply underwent a redesign and rebuild process. A grand re-opening was celebrated Nov. 11 with a catered lunch, live music, a vendor trade show and raffl es for prizes. Supports Wounded Warrior Project Charlotte, NC- based Murray Supply Co.’s Maintenance, Repair and Operations Division donated $2,000 to The Wounded Warrior Project Nov. 11. The project provides services and programs to troops that have been injured in recent confl icts. Tomlinson Industries Celebrates 100 Years Tomlinson Industries, founded by A. E. Tomlinson in 1911, representing a line of steam valves, is celebrating 100 years in business. A. E. Tomlinson purchased the patent for ground plug faucets from Gustave Mueller and started a business — the Tomlinson No-Drip Faucet Co.— to manufacture and sell them. His son, Ralph E. (Tommy) Tomlinson, joined the company in 1922 to run the Tomlinson No-Drip Faucet Co. During the 1970s the company diversified to include commercial foodservice equipment.Since then, through acquisitions, it has expanded from the coffee/beverage markets to housewares, bottled water, purified water and plumbing industries, to providing foodservice equipment and food safety products for commercial/institutional kitchens and convenience/self-serve venues. Tomlinson Industries was purchased by The Meyer Co. In 1974 and operates as an independent division. Today Tomlinson consists of the No-Drip Faucet Division, Modular Dispensing Systems and The Foodservice Products Division. Michael E. Figas is president and Louis J. Castro, executive vice president, oversees sales, marketing and quality efforts. WinWholesale Holds First Vendor Summits WinWholesale (Dayton, OH) hosted about 130 senior executives from more than 60 vendor companies at three vendor summits held in July and November. Using the theme, Building a Partnership for Growth, the meetings focused on helping vendors gain a greater understanding of WinWholesale’s business philosophy, structure and financial stability.
