>ACQUISITIONS… JMC Steel Group, parent company of Wheatland Tube and Atlas Tube, said it has successfully completed the previously announced fi nancing and sale transactions pursuant to which the Zekelman family has purchased a majority stake in JMC from The Carlyle Group. Carlyle maintains a minority stake in JMC. Financial details were not disclosed. Tyco International acquired a 75% equity stake in privately held KEF Holdings Ltd. For approximately $300 million in cash. Based in the United Arab Emirates, KEF is a fully integrated valve manufacturer and one of the world’s leading providers of steel castings to the oil and gas, chemical, mining and power industries. DeZurik acquired APCO Willamette, a producer of check valves, air valves and AWWA ball valves. APCO operations will continue in their present facilities, which include a manufacturing plant in Schaumburg, IL, and a sales offi ce in San Clemente, CA. The APCO and Willamette names will be retained as brands of DeZURIK, and consolidated business operations will be directed from DeZURIK corporate headquarters in Sartell, MN. HD Supply Waterworks entered into a defi nitive agreement to purchase Rexford-Albany Municipal Supply Co. (RAMSCO). Headquartered in Watervliet, NY, RAMSCO is a full-line waterworks distributor with four branches located in Watervliet, Utica, Rochester and Binghamton, NY. The business will be fully integrated into HD Supply Waterworks and will begin operating under the HD Supply Waterworks brand.
