Insider News Business& Protection One Expands IP Video Provider Opens New Headquarters New Executive Team Protection One, Lawrence, Kan., appoint-ed Don Young as chief information officer (CIO) and Dan Bresingham as chief finan-cial officer (CFO). As CIO, Young will be responsible for building systems to enhance the custom-er experience, overseeing all monitoring operations and spearheading the continued development of Protection One’s elec-tronic security offerings. Young has more than 22 years of expe-rience in IT and call center management and has developed numerous systems to improve operational efficiencies within the security monitoring industry. He began his career as a computer programmer in the Air Force before joining the private sector. As CFO, Bresingham will lead finances and administrative functions across all Pro-tection One business platforms, including residential, commercial, national accounts, multifamily and wholesale. Brensingham brings more than 16 years of financial and accounting experience to this role. He began his career as a public accountant. He has since held positions at several high-profile security companies.  Visualant Acquires TransTech Systems Visualant Inc., Seattle, Wash., completed its acquisition of TransTech Systems Inc. of Aurora, Ore. as part of a new growth strategy. TransTech is a distributor of access con-trol and authentication systems serving the security and law enforcement markets. The company recorded revenues of $10 million in 2009. According to Visualant CEO, Ron Erick-son, Visualant’s strategy is to accelerate market entry and penetration through the acquisition of well-operated and positioned distributors of security and authentication systems such as TransTech, thus creating a natural distribution channel for products fea-turing the company’s proprietary Spectrum Pattern Matching (SPM) technology.  now serving both digital and analog systems IndigoVision, a provider of IP video solutions, celebrated the official opening of its new North American headquarters in the Raritan Center area of Edison, N.J. at an April 15 reception held at the new facility. A ribbon-cutting cer-emony was officiated by Edison Mayor Antonia Ricigliano and IndigoVision senior vice president, North America, Bill McQuade. Several IndigoVision customers and partners attended, and representatives from The Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, New York Transit Authority, as well as Diebold and ADT Advanced Integration were also on hand. The new facility contains a fully equipped IP video demo room, which is designed to mimic a surveillance com-mand center.
